Saturday G-man suited out with the varsity (#13) and went the his school's first ever playoff game. The coin toss looked like a battle scene from the Mel Gibson movie, Braveheart, where he played William Wallace.

The ending reminded me of the movie also. The didn't win but it was a good experience for them. The game was near Dallas. The team they played is moving up to a larger classification next year because they are a big school.

The break didn't last long. He started soccer Monday. It was our first cold day of the Fall and he said his lungs were burning from all of the running. He's having to get back into shape after being out for a few weeks with his shoulder injury. Maddie started basketball Monday night. She played a good game, but was tired after playing almost the whole game.
A few weeks ago the new chickens started laying eggs. After a few days they appeared to stop. Last week G-man found where the chickens were laying there eggs. He counted 19 eggs in the Pampas Grass. After we tossed these (since we didn't know how long they had been there) they have started laying in their boxes again.
G-man is to eggs as Bubba Gump was to shrimp. "We got scrambled eggs, poached eggs, eggs over easy, quiche, omelets..."

Yes, I am going to have to get creative with eggs. Y.
