Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, Robin Laid an Egg

When I was a kid one of my favorite TV shows was Batman. I don't think an episode ever ended "cleanly." The dynamic duo were always in a deathtrap by the end of the show. It was always a cliff hanger and you were told to "tune in tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel." And I always did. I watched it after school in reruns in the 70's.

I was there when the real Robin from the TV servies, Burt Ward, came to our town in about 1975 for a promotion at TG&Y. (My Uncle Mike, always said it stood for Toys, Girdles, and Yo-Yos.) I wished Batman himself, Adam West, would have came with Robin in the Batmobile. But I would take any autograph of a real caped crusader.

When I was in college my friends and I saw Adam West on the ski slopes in Taos, New Mexico. Batman (Adam West) was not in the costume, so technically, I guess we saw Bruce Wayne.
