Mammy's Little Baby Loves Shortnin' Bread

We had our first Christmas dinner of the season tonight with Grandma at our house. Sissy fixed Turkey with her mom's special dressing. Maddie had a little trouble because yesterday she got her new braces.

We also had Green Bean Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, and Fruit Salad. For dessert we had Pecan Pie and Pumpkin Pie to choose from. I always choose the Pecan, because Pecan is the State Tree of Texas. I'm patriotic like that... except when it comes to Mocking Birds.

Sissy did a lot of work getting all of this together for the five of us. 

It's 64 degrees (F) and raining in Texas today. Its supposed to turn colder tonight and be in the 30s and 40s the next few days. We see where in Berlin its 32 degrees and snowing and will be through Christmas. We're jealous. We'd like to be there for a White Christmas.
